INTRODUCTION

Sometimes, students take their Internal Assessment lightly and do not participate in subject enrichment activities or submit assignments or other activities on time. We would like to inform you that Internal Assessment has a direct impact on the Final Result of your ward.

ASSESSMENT

  • Multiple assessments will be conducted throughout the academic year.
  • Students must appear for each of the Monthly Tests, Mid-Term examinations and Term-ending examinations.
  • Marks of the Monthly Tests and Internal Assessment will be added to the Mid-Term and Term-ending examinations.
  • If a student misses any test/examination, s/he will be awarded a zero for the student.

PERFORMANCE PROFILE

A printed Performance Profile will be given after the Mid-Term and Term Ending Examinations

CO-SCHOLASTIC ASSESSMENT

Co-Scholastic assessment will be on a four-point Grading Scale which will include Performing Art Education, Skill Based Activities and Health and Physical Education. Health and Physical Education will include assessment in individual or group games, and physical exercises. The School will issue Health and Activity card based on the assessment carried out by respective departments.

DISCIPLINE

This will be assessed along with Internal Assessment and Co-scholastic Assessment on a three-point grading scale based on attendance, sincerity, behaviour and values.

PROMOTION POLICY

The promotion policy is as per the CBSE guidelines. The following information regarding the promotion policy needs to be followed to ensure your ward attains the required percentage to pass.

NO RETEST POLICY

No Retest will be allowed, under any circumstances, except if the student is representing the school in an activity approved by the school.

PASS CRITERIA

  • To be declared having passed, a student must obtain a minimum of 33% marks in both the Internal Assessment and the Term Examinations and in each subject.
  • If a student scores less than 33% in one or two subjects, it will be considered as a compartment, and s/he will have to write compartment exam and score a minimum of 33% for the promotion to the next class.
  • If a student scores less than 33% in more than two subjects, s/he will be considered detained in the same class
